Important — HESCO timeline

Why HESCO Takes Up to 60 Days

HESCO operates in one of Pakistan's most challenging infrastructure environments. Interior Sindh's flat terrain means service lines often need to be extended significant distances. Combination of high connection density, aging grid infrastructure, and logistical challenges in rural Sindh contribute to longer-than-average processing times. Knowing this upfront helps you plan better.

Infrastructure constraints

Aging distribution network in interior Sindh requires more survey and extension work.

Field survey delays

Remote areas may take longer to schedule and complete the mandatory field inspection.

What you can do

Submit complete documents upfront to avoid the Under Review stage being prolonged.

Escalation threshold

If your application exceeds 60 days with no energisation, escalate to NEPRA at 051-9207200.

Application stages

Your HESCO Application Stages

FAQs

HESCO Application Tracking FAQs

Why does HESCO take up to 60 days for a new connection?

HESCO operates in interior Sindh with aging distribution infrastructure. Service line extensions to remote areas, combined with a large geographic territory, contribute to longer processing times compared to other DISCOs.

How do I track my HESCO application?

Visit enc.com.pk, select HESCO, and enter your Tracking ID or CNIC. You can also check HESCO's own website at hesco.gov.pk/newconnection.asp.

HESCO's 60-day timeline has passed and I have no update. What do I do?

Escalate directly to NEPRA at 051-9207200 or file a consumer complaint at nepra.org.pk/consumers. Quote your Tracking ID and the date you submitted your application.

Does HESCO cover Karachi?

No. Karachi is exclusively served by K-Electric, which is not part of the ENC portal system.

What is HESCO's email for new connection queries?

HESCO's helpline email is helpline@hesco.gov.pk. For faster response, call 022-9260201 or the toll-free 0800-00118.

Can I submit additional documents for my HESCO application after submission?

Yes. If the ENC portal shows a document deficiency, you can upload corrected documents through the same portal without reapplying.
