Application progress

The 7 Stages of an ENC Application

Every ENC application goes through these stages. Knowing where you are helps you understand what happens next.

01

Submitted

Your application and documents are received by the ENC portal and queued for DISCO review.

Action: No action required. You will receive an SMS with your Tracking ID.

02

Under Review

DISCO staff are verifying your documents for completeness and accuracy.

Action: Check your registered mobile for any document correction requests.

03

Inspection Scheduled

A DISCO field team has been assigned to survey your premises.

Action: Ensure access to the premises on the scheduled date. No-show delays the timeline.

04

Inspection Completed

The field team has verified the site, measured distances, and checked wiring.

Action: Await the demand notice. This stage typically takes 2–5 working days.

05

Demand Notice Issued

The DISCO has issued your official payment voucher detailing all connection charges.

Action: Pay the demand notice at a designated bank or online. Upload the receipt on the portal.

06

Payment Received

Your payment has been verified. The DISCO is scheduling meter installation.

Action: Ensure someone is available at the premises for the installation visit.

07

Energised

Your meter has been installed and the connection is live. You are now a DISCO consumer.

Action: Collect your consumer number from the DISCO and keep it for bill payments.

Can't find your Tracking ID?

Your 11-digit Tracking ID was sent by SMS to the mobile number you entered during the ENC application. If you did not receive it, you can also track using your 13-digit CNIC (no dashes) by selecting your DISCO on the portal. Make sure to select the correct DISCO or your CNIC may not return results.

Common questions

ENC Tracking FAQs

What is the ENC Tracking ID?

It is the unique 11-digit number assigned to your application when you submit it through enc.com.pk. It is sent by SMS to your registered mobile number immediately after submission.

Can I track using my CNIC instead of the Tracking ID?

Yes. Enter your 13-digit CNIC without dashes on the ENC tracking page and select your DISCO. The portal will show all active applications linked to that CNIC.

My application has been 'Under Review' for 10 days. Is that normal?

Document review typically takes 3–7 working days. If your application has been Under Review for more than 10 working days with no update, call your DISCO's helpline (118) and quote your Tracking ID.

How long after paying the demand notice will my meter be installed?

Most DISCOs schedule installation within 7–14 days of payment verification. HESCO may take longer due to infrastructure constraints in southern Sindh.

My status shows 'Inspection Completed' but no demand notice for 2 weeks. What do I do?

Call your DISCO helpline (118) with your Tracking ID. If the DISCO exceeds their committed timeline, you can escalate to NEPRA by filing a complaint at nepra.org.pk or calling NEPRA at 051-9207200.

Can I track a K-Electric new connection through enc.com.pk?

No. K-Electric is not on the ENC portal. Karachi residents must apply and track their connections directly through K-Electric's own portal at ke.com.pk.

What should I do if my documents are rejected?

The ENC portal will note the specific deficiency on your status page. Upload the corrected or missing documents through the same portal — no need to start a new application.

How do I escalate if my DISCO is not processing my application?

Step 1: Call 118 and log a formal complaint with a reference number. Step 2: If unresolved in 7 days, contact the DISCO's Divisional Superintendent. Step 3: Escalate to NEPRA at 051-9207200 or file at nepra.org.pk/consumers.
